Soak pitted dates in warm water for 5 minutes to soften. Make sure they’re packed into the measurement cup. Drain.
Pulse dates in food processor for 30 seconds or so, to chop up (it will almost be a paste). Add the rest of ingredients in (besides water). Process to fully mix into a dough.
It will end up almost forming a dough “ball”, but I usually have to add a little water at the end to help it come together. Add the water 1 tsp at a time.
Press into a loaf pan (lined with parchment paper) and sprinkle with flaky sea salt on top. Stick in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Pull out of loaf pan, using the parchment paper, and slice into brownies. Store in an airtight container in the fridge!
